Are there many liberal arts colleges in South Korea? The answer to the question is both “Yes” and “No”. Yes because there have been what may be regarded as liberal arts colleges in South Korea (Korea hereafter) from very early times, and no because liberal arts colleges in Korea have not evolved to be the same as those in the US, Europe, and other Asian countries. © 2016, Springer Science+Business Media Singapore.
