The Global Course Connections program has been identified by the Alliance Leadership as one of the Alliance’s most impactful programs. It offers a unique faculty development opportunity and it provides a rich environment within which students develop cultural intelligence by working with peers from other parts of the world to explore course content. The program is one of several offered by the Global Liberal Arts Alliance (GLAA), an international partnership of 30 colleges and universities advancing liberal arts education within the contexts of its member institutions in 18 countries across 5 continents. This chapter describes the history of the Global Course Connections program and outlines the steps instructors take to participate. Launched in 2009, the GLAA facilitates global course, curricular, and co-curricular connections, as well as scholarly activities among its member institutions, and the mobility of students, faculty, staff, and leadership within the Alliance network. © 2022 John Wiley and Sons, Inc.
