Tóm tắt

This chapter attempts to serve as a practical guide. It begins with an overview of the challenges of integrating digital humanities (DH) at undergraduate institutions. The Digital Humanities Initiative (DHi) at Hamilton College serves as a case study and a reference for comparison to other undergraduate DH models. Models for DH at liberal arts colleges and four-year institutions are challenged to integrate undergraduate students into DH research and to integrate DH research and methods into courses. Developing the DHi at Hamilton College will be used as a case study with examples and explanations of options and decisions made in developing a DH initiative at a liberal arts college. As a liberal arts college, collaborative research between faculty and students is the primary mission of DHi at Hamilton. The value of metadata was one of the early lessons learned in developing frameworks for staff collaborations. Undergraduate humanities research students typically begin by reading everything their research professor has written. © 2020 selection and editorial matter, Constance Crompton, Richard J.
