The purpose of this study is to examine the role-playing experience of college students participating in liberal arts course “Multicultural Society and Coexistence Humanities”. Here, we deal with the personal accountability of undergraduate students in a role-playing, learning, applying, and cooperative learning model in the liberal arts class. Through the learning process, we had an interest about the individual accountability. This study concentrated on the issues of how the undergraduate students understand and interact with this accountability. In the class, four social interactions (conflict, exchange, cooperation, and competition) play an important role in understanding the personal accountability. Through these interactions, we tried to understand the content of the individual book experience of the research participants and its meaning. As a result of the study, three main topics of the students participating in the class are explained, namely responsibility of the role, positive interdependence among team members, and moral reflection. © 2018 Taylor & Francis Group, London.
