College campuses across America are teeming these days with out-of-classroom opportunities for students. Student clubs, intramurals, leadership programs, service-learning/community service projects, internship programs, and other activities are designed to engage students as they apply the theories and principles learned in class to real-world situations. Such learning opportunities can be found in every corner of campus, and even extend to the communities beyond our campuses' borders. And student affairs professionals are often at the center of creating, carrying out, and evaluating these learning events and processes.
